Iğdır 1919 - A Civil War Kaça - Kaç In the Shadow of Ararat

Kitap Hakkında

The preparation of this book required extensive archival research both within Turkey and abroad. I owe a deep debt of gratitude to all the archive staff—many of whose names I do not even know—who offered their assistance without hesitation. I was always delighted when someone reached out by phone or email to inform me that they had located a document I had requested, and I truly appreciated their professional and sincere approach. In this book, you will find three separate prefaces written in Turkish, Kurdish, and English. These are not identical in content, as each one is tailored to its intended audience and provides complementary information about Iğdır for international readers. I am especially grateful to Münevver Ölçer for her generous assistance with the Kurdish translation.I would also like to thank my dear friend Hasan İlhan, the owner of Alter Publishing, for his help during the publication and print stages of this book. His support and experience in organizing the book’s layout and addressing any deficiencies during the production process were invaluable. Finally, I wish to express my heartfelt love and gratitude to my beloved wife, Şeval Hun, who stood by me throughout this demanding journey, took on many tasks voluntarily, and made extraordinary efforts to accelerate my workflow and help bring this book to completion in a short period of time.Sincerely,Mücahit Özden Hun   (Tanıtım Bülteninden)
